4/21/2023 0 Comments Affinity designer microsoft storeEven $50 for the next major upgrade version is reasonable if needed and useful (Developers need to be paid). Yes I totally agree on the value of Affinity Photo. I haven't verified it yet, but is is also very likely that they are also offering similar discounts currently for the iPad versions of Designer and Photo as well. They have been quite fair with their pricing models since the very beginning.Ĭonsider that I paid well over $400 for a license for Photoshop 2.0 in 1992 (then upgrade fees ranging from $149-$199 every 18-24 months for many years after (until the current subscription model) as compared to what Affinity Photo can accomplish at 1.8.x. Well, if they only charge $50 US at full rate for an app, it's quite likely, the upgrade fee will be in that range or lower, though, much more likely to offer a special sale rate when new versions arrive. We wouldn't be able to keep Serif running if we provided lifetime upgrades/updates. So this great tool will keep me challenged for a while.Īnd I read that they have great support forum+provide free minor updates and lots of info online.īut the catch I read from post in their support forum:Īll "minor" updates (1.8, 1.9 etc) are free until the next major upgrade (2.0, 3.0 etc) which is/are paid. (I was almost ready to buy at $50)Īt this stage not ready for the other software.īut then again I'm a total newbie (currently using DPP). Jodo2 - I am incline to agree - no brainer Thanks for the heads up.going to try a trial for casual use computer, might buy it for 25 , slickd.Ĭan also buy from bhphotovideo, microsoft store etcĪt full price Affinity products are a great value. FYI: Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher/Content $25 each sale (PC or MAC).
